Jonathan Porter is not a career politician. He doesn’t have a “famous name.” He doesn’t have political “connections.” And he has never received a cent from special interest groups.
But Jonathan Porter has a passion for service, a desire to communicate and collaborate, and a promise of integrity and dedication to the work at hand.
As adjunct faculty at Loyola University Maryland, Jonathan teaches Marketing in the Sellinger School of Business. He is also a full-time project management consultant at a women-owned small business where he has worked on projects at CMS (Centers for Medicare/Medicaid Services) and the NSA. Jonathan is actively involved in his church and community. He volunteers regularly with the Araminta Freedom Initiative (an anti-human trafficking organization) and the Downtown Sailing Center in the Inner Harbor where he participates in Access Sailing events for children and adults with special needs. Jonathan also served as Music Director for 9 years at a church in Catonsville and is an Eagle Scout.
Jonathan was born and raised in suburban Maryland – the oldest son of two scientists. He has been living in the Rockland Run community for almost 10 years. Jonathan earned an MBA from Loyola University Maryland with specializations in Marketing and Finance, a Bachelor of Music degree in Music Composition from Belmont University, and is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) with the Project Management Institute.
